Century City

Welcome to Century City - an oasis in the midst of the barren corpo-run world. Here, people strive to maintain an organic & honest way of life by developing sustainable food production, energy generation & life preservation technology.This green paradise has attracted many who thought to buy their way in but were surprised with its "unorthodox" resident and work permit requirements: at least 60% organic biology, minimal combat implants, and non-chipped, natural proficiency in at least one art-form, trade, or experience in the city's 3 focus industries.Tempting as it may be to conquer 80 km² of lush fertile land populated by non-augmented, defenseless civilians, megacorps failed breaching the city's unprecedented energy barrier and left the garden city alone in exchange for a yearly cut in harvest of organic foodstuffs.However, everyone knows that megacorps cannot simply be satisfied by fruits, vegetables, and fresh seafood. Only time will tell if the barrier would be breached or if the city would descend into its contemporaries.

*This is my personal lore that is free for interpretation & use for personal worldbuilding. Citizens / Contributors whose characters model for the magazine do not follow this lore strictly and only participate within things they like or want to use for their own stories.

The Citizens

The project started as a personal OC-populated zine until I needed the funds for my cat's sudden hospitalization. Upon learning of my situation, the cover art of the magazine was purchased by one of my longtime customers: SmilingAssassin on furaffinity.The magazine, since then, developed with the help of friends, loyal customers, and a community of people who wish to help strays in need.Their characters now model for various fictional products and services that thrive in the world of Century City.
